Wine List

House Whites

  • Bianco, Borgo Selene ( Sicily, Italy)
    • Crisp, refreshing dry white from Sicily. Made from Inzolia and Catarrato grapes, it has a zing reminiscent of Pinot Grigio.
  • Chenin & Semillon (Finca Los Prados, Argentina)
    • Unoaked white with an abundance of tropical fruit flavours and a refreshing finish.
  • Domaine St. Lannes (Cotes De Gascogne, France)
    • Clean, crisp and creamy, the fruit encapsulates the best characters of the modern Gascogny whites.  Subtle and elegant on the nose with a certain depth and richness of the palate.
  • Fairview Darling Chenin Blanc (South Africa) 
    • Excellent quality Chenin Blanc from the cooler climate area of Darling near the Cape. Ripe rounded with aromatic complexity and balanced minerality.
  • Pinot Grigio Delle Venezie (Cortegiara, Italy)
    • Light, slightly spicy white showing flavours of fresh peach and lemon, with a zesty, yet delicate finish.
  • Sauvignon Blanc (Omrah, Western Australia)
    • A most refreshing Sauvignon Blanc made by ex-Cape Mentelle mentor, John Durham that has good aromatics with refreshing acidity and a clean, crisp finish.

Premium Whites

  • Chardonnay, Alpha Zeta (Veneto,Italy) 
    • Youthful,delicios and moreish. Hints of grapefruit and white pepper are balanced by a clean, lemony freshness which lasts through to the finish.
  • Sancerre, Domaine Sauterau (Loire, France)
    • Super minerality and pinpoint fruit give this wine balanced mouth-feel while the refreshing acidity make this ideal with salads and lighter dishes
  • Sauvignon Blanc (Delta Vineyards, New Zeland)
    • Intoxicating aromas of grapefruit and gooseberry leap out of the glass at you.  This lovely perfume gives way to good depth of flavour, resulting in a very enjoyable wine indeed.

House Reds

  • Rosso, Borgo Selene ( Sicily, Italy)
    • Jammy, juicy, cherry fruit made from Nerello and Nero d`Avola. Soft and very easy drinking, this is a good all rounder.
  • Cabernet & Merlot (Calbuco, Chile)
    • A smooth, gluggable style, with lots of juicy, jammy fruit, backed up by a rounded, cassis finish.
  • Chianti, Leanardo (Tuscany,Italy)
    • An exceptionally drinkable Chianti from the Leonardo co-operative near the town of Vinci. It is medium bodied, with a balanced palate and delicious red berry fruit flavours.
  • Jaboulet Cotes du Rhone, Parralel 45 (France)
    • A remarkably elegant Cotes du Rhone with soft and subtle red berry fruit overtones and soft, silky tannins. Made by one of the top Rhone produces Paul Jaboulet, this estate produces wines of the highest quality.
  • Malbec, Los Primos (Valentin Bianchi, Argentina)
    • Dense colour, a spicy nose and a dark liquorice fruit on the palate.  This smooth, soft, approachable style shows the changing face of Argentinian winemaking at its best!
  • Shiraz, Willunga (McLaren Vale, Australia)
    • A velvety Shiraz that is glorisly fruity with very subtle tannins and lovely lifted finish.

Premium Red Wines

  • Pinot Noir, Delta Malborough (New Zealand)
    • Another great partner to lighter dishes, this Pinot demonstrates what a fine job New Zealand is making at producing top Pinot.  Rich, vibrant fruit with a delicate aroma of summer fruits.
  • Rioja Izadi Crianza (Spain)
    • Throughly modern in style, this blend of Tempranillo and Graciano is partially aged in new American oak.  The result is a wine of great personality, with fine tannins, layers of flavour and a long, elegant finish.
  • Chianti Classico Isole E Olena (Tuscany, Italy)
    • The quality of Paolo de Marchi’s grapes is of an unrivalled standard and this is reflected in his wines.  This has lovely spice on the nose, good weight and a long, lingering finish.

Rose Wines

  • Jaboulet Cotes du Rhone, Parallel 45 (France)
    • Winner of Great Value Rose at DWWA 2009! Vibrant coral pink colour gives way to a clean and delicately scented nose that has hints of cherries and raspberries. On the palate the wine is subtle, savoury, refreshing and highly drinkable.

Sparkling Wines

  • Prosecco Ca’ Morlin Frizzante NV (Piemonte, Italy)
    • Crisp dry sparkler which is “frizzante” (slightly sparkling) rather than “spumante” (fully sparkling).  Superb to enjoy chilled as an apertif, with soup, or (for special celebrations) well beyond that…
  • Laurent Perrier (Brut Reserve NV, Champagne)
    • From an outstanding family owned Champagne House, this wine shows it’s quality. The blend is predominantly Chardonnay with Pinot Noir the other grape on show. Great value.
  • Laurent Perrier Rose ( NV, Champagne) 
    • The original and iconic saignee(bled) method Champagne. Quite delicious!
